Community interviews
During May 2008 Northeast Business Park offered a number of community representatives the opportunity to participate in a short video. That video formed part of the supplementary EIS additional community consultation. The people interviewed were local community representatives who were asked to express their particular interest and views of the development. The interviews were unscripted and provide a broad insight into the community understanding of the project and the consultation process – running time 14:23 mins.
The Directors of Northeast Business Park Pty Ltd express their sympathy to the Chapman family for the passing of father, pop and Uncle. His loss as an esteemed elder of our community will be felt by the Indigenous and non Indigenous community alike. Uncle’s support for the proposed project and relationship formed with Northeast Business Park will be greatly missed. In respect for Uncle, the Chapman family and the Aboriginal community, the community video developed by many community members in the Moreton Shire has been re-edited in accordance with community values so that the footage does not include names, images or voices of deceased members of the local Aboriginal community.
